Dr. Matheson has travelled extensively throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa and South East Asia, as well as in Oceania. According to Dr. Matheson, “Travelling is the best education!”
He is an enthusiastic believer in the benefits of immersion in other cultures. Similarly, he believes that listening attentively to each patient and understanding their unique culture is necessary to truly understand their problem.
Dr. Matheson believes that the practitioner’s ability to listen and empathize with the patients is key in establishing an accurate diagnosis and developing long-term, effective treatment solutions to optimize the patient’s health and outcomes.
Moreover, Dr. Matheson dedicates resources through the involvement of alternative care specialists in order to ascertain the best possible treatment for each patient by focusing on addressing the causes, as opposed to simply managing symptoms.
