Headache, Migraine & Concussion Centre Partners with Herizon House to Support Women and Children in Need
The Headache, Migraine & Concussion Centre (HMCC) is proud to announce its partnership with Herizon House, a local shelter that provides safety and support to women and children experiencing domestic abuse. This collaboration underscores HMCC’s commitment to improving health outcomes and fostering hope and empowerment within the community.
Herizon House is a vital resource in Durham Region, offering shelter, counselling, and advocacy for women and children escaping abuse. HMCC’s partnership aims to amplify Herizon House’s mission by contributing essential resources and raising awareness about the challenges faced by survivors.
A Season of Giving
This holiday season, HMCC and Herizon House have joined forces for a Holiday Donation Drive. The initiative invites community members to contribute clothing, personal care items, and gift cards to benefit the women and children supported by Herizon House. Donations can be dropped off at HMCC’s Ajax clinic until December 19, 2024.
“Partnering with Herizon House aligns with our values of compassion and care,” said Shannon Mitchell, Director of HMCC. By supporting this incredible organization, we can extend our reach beyond medical care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in need.”

This partnership is about more than holiday giving; it’s about fostering long-term change. Through ongoing support and collaboration, HMCC hopes to inspire community involvement and highlight the importance of safe spaces for women and children overcoming abuse.
